The European Society for Agronomy (ESA) aims to promote the exchange of scientific and practical experience between experts in agronomy. Today, more than ever, we need to dialogue between peoples, between society and science and between all the disciplines that contribute agronomy because transformation of our agricultural systems is not an option, it is our future.   
The aim of the 18th Congress of the ESA in Rennes, France in August 2024 is to vertebrate transformation in agricultural systems with new alliances, and synergies.

The international Summer School on Agriculture, Forest and Environmental geodata Statistical analysis, modelling and machine learning [SAFEST] will provide theoretical and practical teaching on the statistical methods and tools for geodata handling and analysis, with special emphasis to soil traits, crop yield or plant biomass in the agricultural, forest and other land uses under variable management and environmental conditions. Methods provided will be tailored to a wide range of scales, from plot to landscape to regional scales.

University of Tasmania is seeking to appoint an Agricultural Systems Modeller in the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture which is part of the College of Sciences and Engineering.

The role involves leading or participating in research to model crop and livestock production systems. These research activities will assist the agricultural and food sectors in Tasmania in making complex decisions actionable, especially on-farm decisions related to climate change and carbon neutrality. The role will involve the teaching of modelling to undergraduates and postgraduates in relevant units.
